Based in the Texas Hill Country, Russell built Wildfolio out of direct experience managing exotic livestock herds in real market conditions.
Like many ranchers, he tracked animal purchases, sales, and comps in spreadsheets—constantly reconciling timing risk, volatile pricing, and the tradeoff between live-sale and hunt revenue. The issue wasn't effort. It was visibility.
Markets moved faster than tools. Decisions were made with partial context. Market signals arrived too late.
Wildfolio began as a way to bring structure, consistency, and real-time insight to those decisions—treating animals not as static inventory, but as dynamic, market-priced assets.
